OFF ON THE SEOUL TRAIN...
Very excited to share with you that I am going to Seoul, South Korea for 2 months to model! Ford has set me up with a great agency over there and I'll be working full time. It still feels surreal because I found out so recently. I am in CT now, heading back tomorrow to SF, and leave on Sept 1st to Korea. Will be updating this blog a lot over there as a means to stay sane and keep in touch.
Short Film with Indress and Frederic Guelaff
This summer I was so fortunate to have been chosen for the female lead in the short film "The Phantom Kiss" by Frederic Guelaff, and the team of Autofuss in SF. Frederic and his wife, Wies Schulte are a couple of infinite talent. Wies is the designer behind Indress (Indress.net) , her soft and romantic pieces are sought after in Europe and Asia. Each season Frederic and Weis do a film showing the pieces through a short story. This summer they did their first one in the US. We worked non stop for a week, and with a phenomenal crew, put together something that will be exceptionally gorgeous. I believe it will be out later this September. Here are some production shots taken by Devin Whetstone and his Holga .. and also the link below is an example of the type of short:

Chloe Aftel Test
July in Los Angeles ...
So I spent the month of July in LA to get my feet wet for the future inevitable move. The month was eye-opening to say the least. LA is everything they say, and more. When I arrived I was completely shocked at the species that existed there ... desperate and beautiful. Every turn in the street felt like looking at a new editorial spread. I went in with my feet anchored. I was not going to get "sucked in", as I had been warned so many times before entering. But after it's harsh reality rocked me for a bit, I kind of started to love it. The way I've only been able to describe it is that there is this BUZZ...this electricity you feel in the air that everyone is working on something, and whether it's exceptional or not you want to be involved. God forbid you leave that loop for a second you are going to miss the buzz.
In LA I had some great tests. Two with Kenny Sweeney ( http://www.kennysweeney.com/ ) who has to be my absolute favorite photographer I've worked with to date, and his photos say it all. This man is uber talented, and he will be blowing up momentarily so I was honored to work with him not once, but twice. We both feel we made gold, and I think Ford agrees ;)

Catching Up...
Hello All.
I'm back on track with this blog. I let it go for a bit and I can attribute that to discouraging feelings about work with the gloomy economy. Sorry. Here I am, again.
I'll start by posting recent test shoots.
