July in Los Angeles ...

So I spent the month of July in LA to get my feet wet for the future inevitable move. The month was eye-opening to say the least. LA is everything they say, and more. When I arrived I was completely shocked at the species that existed there ... desperate and beautiful. Every turn in the street felt like looking at a new editorial spread. I went in with my feet anchored. I was not going to get "sucked in", as I had been warned so many times before entering. But after it's harsh reality rocked me for a bit, I kind of started to love it. The way I've only been able to describe it is that there is this BUZZ...this electricity you feel in the air that everyone is working on something, and whether it's exceptional or not you want to be involved. God forbid you leave that loop for a second you are going to miss the buzz.

In LA I had some great tests. Two with Kenny Sweeney ( http://www.kennysweeney.com/ ) who has to be my absolute favorite photographer I've worked with to date, and his photos say it all. This man is uber talented, and he will be blowing up momentarily so I was honored to work with him not once, but twice. We both feel we made gold, and I think Ford agrees ;)
